BALDING
Blunt needle for pushing thick plugs into head
Wood or metal block for pressing needle thought head
Sharp, strong scissors for cutting hair
Small crochet hook for loosening stubborn plugs
Hemostats or tweezers for extracting hair
Bag for collecting old hair (whether you throw it out or keep it)



PAINTING
Craft\artist’s acrylic, air brush, or model car\airplane paint
Craft sealer, or varnish, for fixing paint
Application brushes (1\4" flat is a good size)
Inexpensive\disposable plastic or paper palette for mixing\diluting\testing paint and sealer
Water (or diluent) tub for rinsing brushes and thinning paint and sealer



(RE)ROOTING
Bald Soft Head
Sharp,fat needle for implanting hair
Wood or metal block for pressing needle thought head
Thin doll needle for the actual rooting
Strong pliers for pulling needle through holes
Strong thread, like "Upholstery", "Button\Craft\Carpet", or "Heavy"
Hair (duh)
Sharp scissors for trimming hair ends
Small clips for holding hair out of the way


Glue and Seal
Good light (do NOT attempt this is a dim place!)
Good ventilation (glue fumes are toxic!)
Doll head
Water-insoluble, permanent glue for sealing head
Cotton-Swab for distributing glue
Inexpensive\disposable plastic or paper palette for mixing\diluting\testing glue
Water (or diluent) tub for thinning and glue if necessary


Thatching
Good light (do NOT attempt this is a dim place!)
Good ventilation (styling gel fumes are toxic!)
Thin needle for separating plugs
Rooted and glued doll head
Hair brush or comb
Hair tie, rubber band, or clip for holding extra hair out of the way
Hair gel
